Bringing Yesterday's Music to You, Today! |
PAUL COOMBS
Principal Instrument: Bass Guitar
Type: Fender Jazz
Also: Vocals
I can’t remember a time when music wasn’t a big part of my life. Because my mom was the church organist, I began singing in front of the church at a very young age. My love for music led to a degree in vocal music, as well as, singing at various events while in college (Homecoming, etc.), learning to play the guitar, and, eventually, learning to play the bass guitar. While singing in another group, I met and became best friends with the women who is now my wife. She and I are singing together once again in The Classics. Being part of this band has allowed me to grow as a bass player, develop some wonderful relationships with the other band members, and share music that crosses generation lines to bring joy to people both young and “older”.
