Bringing Yesterday's Music to You, Today! |
JACKELYN COOMBS
Principle Instrument: Vocals
Secondary Instruments: Piccolo
Flute
Various Percussion Instruments
I was playing the piano by
the age of four and the flute by nine. I
was involved in the concert, symphony, and marching band in junior high and high
school where I played the flute and then joined the percussion section to have
more fun. I have always enjoyed
singing to the radio, and like most teenagers, dreamed of being in a band
someday. Well, that dream has come
true. Unlike most of the musicians
in the band, I have not had vast experience on my primary instrument - my voice.
I started singing in a group when I joined our church choir at the age of
twenty. It was there that I met my
life-long partner, friend, and husband, Paul.
He is the bass player in the band. It
is because of his involvement that I have had the privilege to join also.
Being a part of The
Classics
has allowed me to rekindle my relationship with my flute and strengthen
my voice. What a blast it has been
so far!
